Hi! I’m hosting a podcast series called, Capacity Creator.
I want to talk about capacity. Respecting it. Abusing it. I have been consciously and unconsciously studying this notion of capacity. Which I also call being busy.
I’m so inspired by many people that I follow closely. And, I’m still in a bit of disbelief, but many of these individuals have graciously accepted to be on my podcast.
I wanted to know more about how people leverage their capacity. How they overestimate it and underestimate it. I wanted to know how deeply embedded DISTRACTION was within their capacity and what it was causing.
I am deeply curious about what makes up our commitment tendencies? What makes us say yes, even though our insides are contorting with angst. Because we know we’re over-committed and this additional commitment may just be the breaking point.
I have also been asking people, what stops them from saying yes? So many of us walk around with so much to give, yet there we are so under-leveraged.
In a world so full of options, opportunity and brilliant marketing that makes us consume and subscribe, I wanted to know how we were making these decisions.
I wanted to know how successful people had built their capacity. How they had calculated their abilities to fulfill their commitments.
Resignment. Oh yes, sweet resignment! It carries a negative connotation, but along my journey, it has been one of the most powerful tools I’ve come across.
During the series you will hear from inspiriational guests and how they used resignment during their personal trajectories.
You will hear of strategies, stories, situations and moments of stillness. In a world so noisy and busy, where do we find stillness?
You will hear of my own story of how stillness became a tool that allowed my mind to be peaceful and my decision making discerning and less torturous.
By the way, I don’t have a harrowing story. The one where it leaves you breathless or shocks you. I have a common story. One that most of us on the planet have struggled with. And still do.
This podcast is for you. It’s about deconstructing our commitment patterns and learning to respect our capacity. It takes preservation and pacing. We don’t get re-do of the most fabulous moments in life.
I want to share stories from the students I teach. I want to share nuggets of wisdom from the books I’ve read and the conferences I’ve attended. I want to pass along some killer info from courses, people and podcasts that I’ve spent time with.
My brain has been wired to help. To be in service of.
Thanks for joining me, fellow capacity creator.
